• Work on maintaining and restoring hiking and nature trails
• Plant trees for watershed restoration
• Bust up illegal rock dams in a river
• Clear brush and other combustables for fire mitigation

• Acquire hands-on training with crosscut hand saws
• Build and maintain foot and equestrian bridges

• Take children out on nature hikes (Coordinated with the USFS)

We meet at the Gateway Information Center which is pictured in the photograph offered above. We meet on the first, third, and fifth Saturday of every month, leaving the Gateway Center at 8:00 a.m. sharp and we usually return to the Gateway at around 4:00 p.m.

• July 3rd 2010 -- We will be working today. We may be working within the Crystal Lake area or we may be doing fire patrolls and mitigation as assigned or requested. We gather at the USFS Gateway Information Center at the base of the mountain along Highway 39 and we will leave the Center promptly at 8:00 a.m. to go up to the Rincon Fire Station to collect tools and materials, then we will travel to the work site. • July 17th 2010 -- We gather at the USFS Gateway Information Center at the base of the mountain along Highway 39 and we will leave the Center promptly at 8:00 a.m. to go up to the Rincon Fire Station to collect tools and materials, then we will travel to the work site. • July 31rd 2010 -- We gather at the USFS Gateway Information Center at the base of the mountain along Highway 39 and we will leave the Center promptly at 8:00 a.m. to go up to the Rincon Fire Station to collect tools and materials, then we will travel to the work site.
